TERRACE
Churchyard Views │ Dog Friendly │ Food & Drink
The Bell Inn building is steeped in history since it was first the Guildhall of St Michael’s Church back in the early 16th Century. The terrace area at the back of the building was originally the front of the building, looking onto the Churchyard. The Church itself has an interesting history linked to The Bell and the village including the legend of Kitty Canham and the grave of William Gull, Royal Surgeon to Queen Victoria who was one of the prime suspects to be Jack the Ripper.
